Update 2008:
2008 has been a great year for both Chris
and I. Chris got a sweet record deal with
Brash Music (label of Christian artist of
the year Aaron Shust), has one of the best
selling Christian CDs of the year and his
hit song "Empty Me" is one of the
most played songs on Christian radio. Plus
he had the fantastic opportunity to work
with Grammy award winning, legendary producer
Brown Bannister.
Even better, Chris talked Brown into letting
me orchestrate five songs on the CD! I'll
never forget sitting in Brown's studio with
Chris during the recording. We looked at
each other and cracked up. I said "can
you believe this???" Getting the chance
to work with Brown is certainly a highlight
of my life. I've always been facinated by
people who have made it to the top, and I
enjoyed watching the man work - he's truly
a master (and a nice guy on top of it!)
In the summer of 2008 Brown asked me to arrange
the strings for a song on Christian artist
Jeremy Camp's upcoming CD. I haven't heard the final
mix yet and can hardly
wait for the release
on November 25.
